Good behaviour rewarded
Achievements are celebrated in front of the whole school at weekly assemblies: academic awards (such as terminal exams); Sporting results both team and individual; music; individual success such as in leadership etc; Drama and other areas reflecting both the academic and extra – curricular achievements of the school are celebrated.
At the end of the academic year; prizes are awarded for academic (effort and achievement) and extra – curricular activities and achievement. The whole school prize Giving takes place in October. In addition to prizes, all aspects of the varied life of the school are celebrated.
This is the period when we dedicate our Std 8 class for the KCPE exam.
The perfect team is a democratic body. Prefects are elected predominantly according to their abilities and reflect the views of the student body to the manager and Senior teachers. Prefects hold position of responsibility in the school.
Student Study Groups
Examination classes have tutorial groups. Each Tutorial Group will elect a student to record their views on the student led tutorial group. Chaired by the chairman it meets regularly to discuss issues of concern in a particular subject. Minutes are copied to the subject teacher for further discussion.
Each pupil is allocated a Competitive House on joining the school. Throughout the year there is a range of activities and opportunities for pupils to learn on how to be independent while at the same time taking care of personal belongings and hygiene. The school has two dormitories each holding 100 pupils. One for girls and one for boys. The school matron lives with the children to take care of any emergencies especially at night.
The government hospital where we refer sick cases is only 500 meters away.
